The BMW 3 Series is a mixture of athletic performance, practicality and European luxury in a small package. This is the car that defines "sport sedan", and the benchmark use all luxury cars. In the 325i sedan, the new engine generates 225 horsepower, an increase of 40 over the 2005 model. The 325Ci Coupe and Cabriolet 325Ci is powered by a 184-horsepower 2.5-liter six-cylinder. The standard equipment is roughly comparable to the new 325i sedan, with notable exceptions, including the roof. Safety features that come standard include dual-stage pre-impact airbags, front side airbags and full protection of the head of the cabin of airbags. Active safety features standard on all models include 3 Dynamic Stability Control anti-skid electronics and the latest generation antilock brakes. For 2006, the BMW 3 Series has been redesigned.
